Cheap iPod/iPhone Backup Battery

As we all know, there are alot of very good backup batteries such as the Richard Solo or the Dexim Bluepack.

But what are wrong with these Batteries? They are way too expensive!

But I have figured out how to solve this problem. Well you see I've been searching for days for a cheap good iPod backup battery but finally I've found something.

It's called the Monoprice Backup Battery Pack.

Specs:

  • 2200 mAH (3.5 hours to charge)
  • Doesn't break easily/very durable
  • Made for all iPods/iPhones (except the iPod Shuffle)

Cons:
  • Blocks headphone jack
  • Doesn't lock on (might fall off if it wiggles too much)
  • Doesn't work for the shuffle

Whats so good about this backup battery?

Well it's only $14, it has more capacity of battery than the Richard Solo, and it is very durable, meaning it won't break easily at all. I accidentally dropped it a few times and still didn't break after even five drops.

It's really up to you, if you want something really nice with flashlight features get the Richard Solo but if you want something really cheap and awesome at the same time, get the Monoprice. It will save you money and I guaranteed you'll be satisfied.

iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 4 Reveals Support for Leaked Devices

Yesterday, developers received iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 4. In the code of the Software Development Kit (SDK), there are references to "AVCaptureFlashMode."

The code for flash control also appears for the new iPad 2nd Generation and iPod touch 4th Generation. Suggesting that when updates for both come out, they will have cameras accompanied by LED flash.

This coding is almost definitive proof that the prototypes that were somehow leaked of the new iPhone and iPod touch 4th Generation are legitimate.
The new iPhone 4th Generation is expected to be revealed by Apple at WWDC 2010 on June 7.

iPod touch with Camera Leaked, Possible 4th Gen?

Back in September, Steve Jobs explained why the iPod touch 3rd Generation did not come with a camera. Now, Tinh Tế (the people who showed another iPhone 4G) has acquired a new prototype of an iPod touch.

The device is running in diagnostic mode with a functioning camera. The camera shown has a 2.0 megapixel camera but still features the same curved back style as the second and third generation iPod touch.

Dulce Theme

Dulce, a theme by Adrián Rubmore contains over 2600 beautifully created icons. Dulce beatifully colorizes your device with its brightly colored icons. The theme comes in glow, and a non-glow version to satisfy all tastes. The icons are larger than the default iPhone icons to adjust for those who may have larger thumbs and find it hard to tap on the correct icons. The theme also comes with a customized LockScreen and many extra elements to fully theme your device. Note: Dulce does not work well with Five Column Springboard.

How to Install this Theme
  1. Make sure you are jailbroken. (How do I do that?) And that you are on or at an above firmware of 3.0. (How do I check?)
  2. Make sure you have downloaded Winterboard from Cydia.
  3. In Cydia, go to the Search tab and type Dulce. Install the Theme
  4. Open the Winterboard app on your homescreen, tap on Dulce or Dulce NO GLOW to add a check mark next to it (you can also select the other Dulce themes which add live clocks to your homescreen). Then press your home button. Wait until your device is done respringing and Dulce will be applied onto your device.

Cloud Browse: Play Flash Games, Video on iPod touch, iPhone

Cloud Browse allows you to play full flash games and play full flash videos though a cloud-based system that sends information from another computer to your device.

When you open the Cloud Browse app, your device shows the screen of another computer running Firefox. This not like other VNC apps which only transfer the video of your screen to your device.

This allows you to play games and videos on almost any site with little to no lag in a full browser setting.

Best of all this app is available without a jailbreak. You can download it for free though the App Store.
